 Meatless food provider Gardein, which is owned by Pinnacle Foods, aims to make plant protein a must-eat for vegans and vegetarians in a new campaign from L.A. agency Omelet. It includes three videos designed to shake up the meatless category, says Gardein CMO Russell Barnet.

New Coca-Cola Global CMO Marcos de Quinto, who was the head of marketing at Red Bull UK and Europe, is described as “a brilliant maverick and a fearless agent of change” in this profile. Among other things, de Quinto was the driving force behind Coca-Cola Spain’s “Magic Pill” campaign, which bolstered the brand’s reputation and sales among health-conscious consumers.

Papa John’s CMO Bob Kraut explains why the pizza chain decided to save a lot of dough and not purchase ad time on the Super Bowl telecast. Instead, Papa John’s will execute an “on-site activation at the University of Phoenix Stadium,” part of what the company claims will be its biggest social promotion to date. The company hopes to take 1 million pizza orders during the Big Game.

SevOne, provider of infrastructure performance monitoring solutions for Speed at Scale, taps Jim Melvin as CMO. He most recently was CEO at AppNeta, an award-winning SaaS Application Performance Management (APM) leader.

Pure-play data analytics firm LatentView appoints Stacy Gordon as CMO and Business Head, U.S. East Coast. She was SVP at Weight Watchers International.

Kris Singleton is the new CIO at Omni Hotels & Resorts. A 24-year veteran of the technology industry, she most recently was CIO for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
